Plot

This is a novel about a weatherman, a waitress, a savant meteorologist, an [Unspecified Snack Food Company], a retired professional wrestler new-to-you car salesman, and his challenger: a chastity-bound Kempo Karate instructor;

a story about a disgraced city police officer and the tale of his revenge;

a story about a bi-weekly town newspaper writer getting even with his high school bully.

This is a novel that asks about a weatherman’s worth when he no longer forecasts the weather. That’s Because You Were Drunk is a metafiction upmarket dark-comedy based in Keene, New Hampshire, during winter’s thaw.

Thomas Surette a recent MFA graduate and lives with his family in southern New Hampshire. He was born in 1984. That’s Because You Were Drunk is his first novel.
